Six Residents Missing After House Fire In Australia’s Queensland

SYDNEY, Aug 6 (NNN-AAP) – Six residents, including five children and a man, were missing, after their house caught fire today, on Russell Island, in Australian’s Queensland state.

According to a statement, released by the Queensland Police, emergency services were called at around 6.20 a.m. local time, to a property on the island, following reports that a house was on fire.

Upon arrival, the house was fully involved and multiple surrounding properties were damaged.

The police said, initial investigations indicated six people were unaccounted for, and they were residents at the property. Besides, nine people were treated at the scene, including neighbours, and two people have been transported to hospital in stable condition.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire, the police added.– NNN-AAP
