Peru continues moving forward with unity, dialogue, peace and reconciliation: Pres Boluarte

LIMA, Aug 3 (NNN-ANDINA) — Pres Dina Boluarte re-iterated that Peru continues to move forward supported by unity, dialogue, peace, and reconciliation, thanks to the hope and efforts all Peruvians undertake on a daily basis.

During the inspection of commissioning tests on Lima Metro Line 2, she specified that only with peace, unity, and loving our homeland proudly, “we can make our beloved country greater.”

“This is the best proof that, despite anything, Peru is advancing; Peru has not stopped, Peru continues to move forward with unity, dialogue, peace, reconciliation, and above all, with the effort, faith, and hope that all Peruvians should exercise,” she expressed.

Boluarte said that without hatred, grudges, and envy, our country will be able to continue advancing and growing” for the benefit of children, adolescents, and senior citizens.

Regarding Lima Metro Line 2, the top official indicated that —once the work is completed— it will unite 10 districts of the capital.

She added that the trial period will start at the end of this year, with a free-of-charge service available for three months.

Likewise, the Head of State said that, following completion, Lima Metro Line 2 will carry over one million people a day. Progress currently stands at 56%.

“As a Peruvian President, citizen, and woman, I express my satisfaction because the first stage of the automated high-speed train has become a reality, which will greatly benefit the safe transit of our citizens, she stated.

Moreover, Boluarte specified that these are the major (public) works that Peru needs to boost growth and development,” which generate jobs and improve the population’s quality of life.

The top official added that large road, port, and airport infrastructure works are underway nationwide.
