LIMA, Aug 2 (NNN-ANDNA) — Pres Dina Boluarte on Tuesday reiterated her commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and ties of brotherhood between Peru and the United States of America.
This statement was issued to thank US counterpart Joe Biden for his greetings in a letter previously sent to her on the occasion of Peru’s 202nd Independence Day Anniversary.
In a letter sent to Peruvian President Dina Boluarte —on the occasion of Peru’s 202nd Independence Anniversary— the US Head of State sent best wishes to his counterpart and the Peruvian people on behalf of the United States of America.
“The enduring partnership between our nations has strengthened security and prosperity across the Andes and around the world. Together, we are advancing our democratic values, including human rights,” the letter reads.
The U.S. top official stressed that both countries “are building inclusive economic growth to forge a future of greater opportunity and equality for our people. We are working in lockstep to tackle regional and global challenges —including irregular migration, corruption, and climate change.”
President Biden added that “I look forward to continuing our collaboration under the framework of the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), which Peru will host in 2024.”
“In the year ahead, we will continue to deepen the partnership between our nations, and friendship between our people, even further. Because when Peru and the United States stand together, our nations are not only stronger —the world is more secure,” Biden concluded. — NNN-ANDINA
