RIYADH, Aug 2 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, reiterated the kingdom’s total rejection of all attempts to desecrate the Islamic holy book of the Quran.
During a phone call from his Danish counterpart, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud also demanded immediate measures, to stop extremist acts that attempt to insult the Quran and offend Muslims around the world.
The Danish minister, for his part, condemned the burning of copies of the Quran and expressed his regret over such acts.
On Friday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry summoned the Danish charge d’affaires over the recent burning of copies of the Quran in the Nordic country.– NNN-SPA
