The election was announced during the 30th AIAMP Ordinary General Assembly, held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The Peruvian Attorney General participated in the aforementioned meeting to promote the cooperation among Ibero-American Public Ministries.
The AIAMP’s agenda also includes the defense of Public Ministries’ independence and institutionality, an effort that Peru has undertaken firmly over the last year.
The international meeting, which brings together Ibero-American attorneys general, aims to strengthen mutual aid among the Public Ministries that make up the AIAMP, establishing guidelines to expedite investigations in cases involving two or more nations. Peru will host this general assembly once again, after 13 years.
In addition to defining cooperation mechanisms, the event’s agenda will cover the defense of Public Ministries’ independence against any interference, attack or political pressure from sectors outside their scope. — NNN-ANDINA
