Indian Space Agency Launched PSLV-C56 Carrying DS-SAR Satellite, Six Others

NEW DELHI, Jul 30 (NNN-PTI) – The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), today successfully launched the PSLV-C56, carrying DS-SAR satellite, along with six other satellites, from a launch site in southern India, the ISRO said in a tweet.

The DS-SAR satellite blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC)-SHAR launch-pad, located at Sriharikota in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, said the space agency.

It added, the DS-SAR satellite was developed under a partnership between India, Singapore and ST Engineering, a multinational aerospace company.

The satellite will be used to support the satellite imagery requirements of Singapore government departments, while ST Engineering will use it for multi-modal imagery and geospatial services for its commercial customers.– NNN-PTI
