SOFIA, July 26 (NNN-XINHUA) — An agricultural aircraft crashed on Wednesday morning near the town of Radnevo, some 260 km southeast of Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, killing the pilot, an official said.

Senior Commissioner Lazar Hristov, director of the regional directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Stara Zagora, told reporters that the crash was probably caused by birds.

“There is an eyewitness who is a relative of the pilot,” Hristov said, adding that an investigation was underway. — NNN-XINHUA
