TEHRAN, Jul 23 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, yesterday, called on the Swedish government, to hand over the perpetrator of the recent “crimes” of insulting the Quran, to Muslim states’ judicial systems.
He made the remarks in a message to condemn the “bitter, conspiratorial and dangerous” affront to the Quran in Sweden, according to a statement published on the leader’s website.
Khamenei said, all Muslim scholars agree that the “perpetrator of the crimes” should receive the “harshest punishment.”
On Thursday, an Iraqi refugee, who burned a copy of the Quran last month, desecrated the holy book again by stomping on it during a demonstration in Stockholm.– NNN-IRNA
