MAIDAN SHAR, Afghanistan, Jul 17 (NNN-ANA) – A weapons cache was discovered in east Afghanistan’s Wardak province, said a statement of the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI), yesterday.
The weapons cache contained one anti-aircraft gun of D-SH-K type, one mortar, two RPGs, one mortar shell of 82mm calibre and thousands of bullets, from the Behsoud district, the statement said.
The Afghan caretaker government, has vowed to collect arms and ammunition from anyone outside the security forces, and has collected thousands of pieces of military equipment, including combat tanks and armoured military vehicles, since taking over the country’s power in Aug, 2021.– NNN-ANA
