COLOMBO, Jul 16 (NNN-XINHUA) – At least 15 passengers were injured, after their bus veered off the road, in south-east Sri Lanka yesterday, said the police.
Police spokesman, Nihal Thalduwa, said that, around 25 people were inside the bus when the accident occurred, in Demodara in Uva province, and the injured were sent to nearby hospitals.
The police were investigating the crash, the spokesman said.
Several bus accidents have occurred in the country in the past two weeks, mainly due to driver’s negligence.– NNN-XINHUA
