Iraq Exports Over 103 Million Barrels Of Crude In April: Ministry

BAGHDAD, Iraq, May 2 (NNN-NINA) – Iraqi Oil Ministry, said on Wednesday, that, it exported more than 103 million barrels of crude oil in April, bringing in revenue of over seven billion U.S. dollars.

“Iraq’s total exports of crude oil in April reached about 103.9 million barrels, at an average of 3.466 million barrels per day,” a ministry statement said, citing statistics of State Organisation for Marketing of Oil.

The average selling price was 67.4 dollars per barrel in April, according to the statement.

“Iraq exported 100.6 million barrels, from the country’s central and southern oil fields, and 2.57 million barrels from the northern province of Kirkuk, in addition to 783,844 barrels of oil from Qayyara Oil Field, in the northern province of Nineveh,” it said.

Iraq’s economy heavily relies on exports of crude oil, which accounts for more than 90 percent of the country’s revenues.– NNN-NINA
