TUNIS, Tunisia, April 30 (NNN-TAP) – Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebsi, said that, Tunisia will always be the voice of Africa, asserting Tunisia’s stance, in favour of defending African causes.
“Tunisia is working on consolidating relations of cooperation and partnership, between the African Union (AU) and the United Nations,” Essebsi said, during a meeting with visiting Moussa Faki Mahamat, chairperson of the AU Commission.
According to the statement, Essebsi expressed his thanks to the AU Commission chairman, for choosing Tunisia to host the meeting of members of the Permanent Representatives Committee.
For his part, Mahamat stressed the importance of coordination in resolving conflicts, and handling crises in some African countries, including Libya.– NNN-TAP
