21 Alleged Criminals Arrested In Afghanistan

KABUL, Jun 25 (NNN-ANA) – Afghan police have arrested 21 people on charges of involvement in criminal activities in six out of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces yesterday, a statement of the country’s Ministry of Interior Affairs, said today.

The arrested people were involved in illegal activities such as murder, robbery, mobile snatching, forgery, theft, drug smuggling and creating law and order problems in the country, the statement said, adding that, further investigations are underway.

In a similar crackdown, police arrested 80 alleged criminals in Kunduz, Balkh, Takhar, Herat, Samangan, Kabul and Kandahar provinces, last week.

The Afghan caretaker government vowed to crack down on criminal elements in Afghanistan, to ensure law and order in the country.– NNN-ANA
