Land-Sea Trade Corridor Boosts China-ASEAN Trade

NANNING, Jun 24 (NNN-XINHUA) – The Beibu Gulf Port in China’s Guangxi, has witnessed increasing trade with ASEAN countries, thanks to the continuous development of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The trade corridor, launched in 2017, is a trade and logistics passage, jointly built by provincial-level regions in western China and ASEAN members.

The Beibu Gulf Port, serves as an important transit point along the trade corridor, providing maritime transportation with large transport volumes and lower costs.

In the first quarter of this year, the cargo throughput of Beibu Gulf Port reached 68.77 million tonnes, up 5.5 percent year on year.– NNN-XINHUA
