SUVA, Jun 21 (NNN-PINA) – Fiji Airways, scooped the Best Airline in the Australia-Pacific region award for 2022, ahead of bigger players Qantas and Air New Zealand, for the first time, bringing pride to the island nation.
This award was presented to Fiji Airways at the 2023 World Airline Awards in Singapore, yesterday.
Fiji Airways also won the Skytrax Best Airline Staff Service and Best Airport Service in Australia/Pacific awards.
The World Airline Awards from Skytrax are coveted quality accolades for the airline industry and a global benchmark of airline excellence.
The national carrier also jumped 18 places from 54th in 2021, ranking the 36th best airline in the world in 2022. Its Managing Director and CEO, Andre Viljoen, today called the new rating a significant stride for the company.
