TEHRAN, Jun 16 (NNN-TASNIM) – Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, will make a visit to Iran’s capital, Tehran, tomorrow.
During the visit, the top Saudi diplomat will hold talks with Iranian officials.
Earlier media reports said, Saudi Arabia will likely reopen its embassy in Tehran, during the minister’s trip to Iran.
At a weekly press conference on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, said, the ground has been prepared for the reopening of the Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran.
Iran and Saudi Arabia announced in Apr, the resumption of diplomatic relations with immediate effect.
Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran in 2016, in response to the attacks on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran, after the kingdom executed a Shiite cleric.– NNN-TASNIM
