LA TINA (Piura region, Peru), June 15 (NNN-ANDINA) — Pres Dina Boluarte affirmed that Peru will not stop until boundaries between Peru and Ecuador become living borders.
Moreover, the Head of State stressed the commitment to make the State accessible to the population, in order to guarantee inhabitants a better quality of life.
Boluarte’s remarks came as she signed La Tina-Macara Presidential Joint Declaration —together with the President of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso— on the border with said country.
In her speech, the Peruvian dignitary highlighted that the Peace Agreement between Peru and Ecuador was signed 25 years ago, thereby initiating a new stage in their relations, which today allows them to work together for the development of both peoples.
“We will not stop until our boundaries become living borders and the State is made accessible to them. That leads to a better quality of life, health, education, and comprehensive development,” she remarked.
Likewise, Peru’s top official underscored that the inauguration of the Macara-La Tina Binational Border Assistance Center (CEBAF), on the border between the two countries, is a major step forward and a sample of joint work in favor of both peoples.
“This center will become a gateway to our respective countries. It will also allow us, above all, to verify —with greater efficiency and vigor— the migratory flows of people from third countries, in order to prevent the passage of citizens who illegally infiltrate and enter our countries with the aim of committing crimes,“ she said.
“We have to promote regular, safe, and orderly migration,“ the Peruvian President emphasized. — NNN-ANDINA
