PHNOM PENH, Jun 2 (NNN-AKP) – Cambodia, today donated a humanitarian aid of 300,000 U.S. dollars, to cyclone-hit Myanmar, said a foreign ministry’s press statement.
The statement said, the humanitarian package would support Myanmar’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the impact of Cyclone Mocha, which tragically resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and extensive damage to properties and infrastructure in Myanmar’s Rakhine State.
Cambodian foreign ministry’s secretary of state, Nhim Khemara, handed over the package to U Thit Linn Onh, ambassador of Myanmar to Cambodia, at the foreign ministry in Phnom Penh, it added.
Khemara extended his deepest condolences for the cyclone’s far-reaching effects on the lives and properties of the Myanmar people, hoping that Myanmar would swiftly overcome these challenging circumstances.– NNN-AKP
