BRASILIA, May 4 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — Brazil’s Federal Police (PF) on Wednesday raided the home of former President Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2022) in this capital in an operation related to the alleged falsification of Covid-19 vaccine certificates.

According to Agencia Brasil, the former president is one of the targets of Operation Venire, which investigates the manipulation of vaccination cards.

Minister Alexandre de Moraes authorized the operation within the investigation of “digital militias” that is already underway at the Federal Supreme Court.

TV Globo found that the fraud in the vaccination cards of Bolsonaro and his daughter, Laura, occurred on December 21, just before traveling to the United States, the penultimate day of his term.

His home was the subject of one of the search and seizure warrants served by the PF, and the agents also collected the cell phone of the former army captain.

Agencia Brasil reports that 16 search and seizure warrants and six preventive arrest warrants have been served in Brasília and Rio de Janeiro. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
