TEHRAN, May 4 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s second-largest automaker, SAIPA, has signed a contract for exporting three models of its sedans to Russia and Belarus, it was reported yesterday.
The models are Shahin, Quik, and Saina. The Iranian company will export 45,000 cars to the two countries under the three-year contract.
The contract is worth 450 million euros (497.8 million U.S. dollars).
In Nov last year, Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Russia on car exports. The MoU is estimated to be worth 300 million U.S. dollars, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
Iran has also exported cars to Venezuela, Iraq, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.– NNN-IRNA
