HAVANA, May 3 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, is discussing issues of mutual cooperation with the Economy Advisor of the Russian Presidency, Maxim Oreshkin, who previously served as Minister of Economic Development.
Last November, Cabrisas attended the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for economic-commercial and scientific-technical collaborations, held in Moscow, in his capacity as co-chairman of the body for the Cuban side.
Cooperation in the energy, financial, transport, agriculture, communications and health among other spheres, were at the center of the commission’s talks.
The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, recently referred to the upcoming 20th session of the intergovernmental commission when receiving the top leader of the State Duma, Viacheslav Volodin.
Cabrisas developed an intense program in Moscow, in June of last year, including meetings with the Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov and the Vice President of the Central Bank of Russia, Vladimir Chistiukhin.
During his visit, Cabrisas also spoke with the Minister of Rosneft state oil company, Igor Sechin, and with the CEO of the Inter RAO energy company, Boris Kovalchuk.
In November 2021, Cabrisas held a meeting in Moscow with the Russian Minister of Emergency Situations, Alexander Chupriyan, with the president of the VAZ Group, Vadim Sorokin, and with the general director of the Zarubezhneft oil company, Sergei Kudryashov. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
