VIENTIANE (Laos), April 30 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Roberto Morales on Saturday expressed his deep satisfaction at excellent state of relations with Laos.
It´s necessary to continue working tirelessly so that these to be a symbol of what should be the links between socialist countries, Morales stressed at meeting with the member of the Political Bureau and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (PPRL) Bounthong Chitmany.
The Cuban party leader expressed his aspiration to achieve greater interaction between the Party schools of the two countries and that PPRL leadership cadres visit Cuba to receive training courses.
The Communist Party of Cuba highly values the political relations with PPRL, stressed Morales, who thanked Laos´ permanent support in struggling against the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States.
In this regard, Morales explained that the tightening of the U.S. blockade to unprecedented levels, as well as climate change and the complex international scenario have caused a complicated economic situation for Cuba.
Chitmany gave the visitors a detailed explanation of the internal situation in Laos, pointed out the main directions of work of the PPRL and expressed his admiration for Cuba´s scientific breakthroughs.
He expressed interest in strengthening collaboration, especially in public health and sports, as well as in exploring new areas of cooperation. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
