HAVANA, April 30 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — Cuba on Saturday guaranteed conditions for the Third Round of Peace Talks between Colombian Government and the National Liberation Army (NLA).
Eugenio Martinez, director-general of MINREX´s Latin America and the Caribbean Department, commented on Twitter the NLA delegation presence for the beginning of talks on May 2.
Past April 25, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez announced the date on which Cuba would host the meeting and claimed his country would act as guarantor and alternative venue.
On March, the High Commissioner for Peace confirmed that Cuba agreed to host this third round of talks and stressed ‘the peace delegations from Colombian Government and the ELN are deeply grateful to the Cuban Government and people for their unconditional disposition and fundamental support’. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
