Yemen’s Houthi Rebels Launch Drone Strike On Saudi Army

SANAA, Yemen, April 25 (NNN-SABA) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels said, they launched a drone attack on Wednesday, on a gathering of Saudi soldiers in the Saudi southern province of Asir.

“The drone strike hit the gathering of Saudi army in Rabuah area, killing dozens,” rebel TV al-Masirah reported.

Meanwhile, Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television, said that, the Saudi-led coalition’s war planes launched a series of air strikes on telecommunications rooms run by Houthi rebels in Eraij mountains, in the Yemeni northern province of Saada and destroyed them.

On Monday, the rebels threatened to launch long-range ballistic missiles against the Saudi capital Riyadh and the United Arab Emirates, if they support attack on Yemen’s rebel-held Hodeidah port city, a lifeline entry of commercial imports and humanitarian aid to rebel-held territory.

Forces of Yemeni legitimate government, backed by the coalition, have advanced to the southern outskirts of Hodeidah since June, 2018, but halted their major offensive to pave the way for UN-brokered peace efforts to end Yemen’s four-year war.

A peace deal reached in Sweden in Dec last year, has hit a deadlock after the rebels refused to withdraw from the port city.– NNN-SABA
