LIMA, April 26 (NNN-ANDINA) — Pres Dina Boluarte affirmed that her administration guarantees legal stability and clear rules for investments in Peru.
Within this framework, the Head of State invited more companies to operate in the South American country.
The top official participated in the launching ceremony for the “Coalition for a Circular Economy in the Manufacturing Industry” Project held at the National Society of Industries (SNI) headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
“From the Government, we guarantee and will guarantee legal stability, as well as clear rules for investments. Therefore, we invite large companies to continue operating in Peru and others to come and invest in our homeland. We will receive them with open arms,” she said.
At the same time, Boluarte said her administration creates the right conditions for the growth and expansion of micro, small, and medium-sized companies that encourage the population’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Boluarte indicated it is the State’s fundamental duty, in alliance with the private sector, to seek the tools aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and being on the same level with new challenges.
She indicated that said coalition’s objective is to work to guarantee and accelerate the transition towards circular economy at micro, small, and medium-sized companies. At the same time, she welcomed the goal of bringing this model to 5,000 MSMEs nationwide.
President Boluarte argued that nowadays it is necessary to replace the current linear economic model with the circular economic one, which leads to making the most of material resources and extending the life cycle of products, including waste, so as to maintain the balance between progress and sustainability.
The president affirmed that if Peruvians want to tackle climate change, loss of biodiversity, pollution, and fulfill the sustainable development goals, we must move towards an inclusive circular economy in Peru.
She said that the coalition for a circular economy in the manufacturing sector is not an isolated measure; it is part of a process that includes other sectors as well, which she also invited to bet on this model.
“Let us continue working together for a decentralized and humane circular economy, to achieve economic well-being, social peace, as well as fair, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development,” she concluded. — NNN-ANDINA
