KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait, April 24 (NNN-KUNA) – Kuwait will host the 102nd meeting, at the level of ministerial representatives of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) on April 27.
The upcoming meeting, to be chaired by Bahrain, will discuss topics related to the work and activities of the organisation, including the ratification of its final accounts, Abbas Al-Naqi, secretary general of OAPEC, was quoted as saying.
The meeting will also discuss activities of OAPEC’s general secretariat, during the first quarter of 2019, including global oil status, environment, climate change and the meeting of the Arab League, he noted.
Reviews on improving performance in subsequent petroleum industries, and the petroleum media agreement, that was signed between OAPEC and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in March 2019, will also be discussed.
The OAPEC comprises member states of Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.– NNN-KUNA
