KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama) — The legendary and world-renowned ballet troupe, St Petersburg Theatre Russian Ballet has come to an agreement with Malaysia’s The Dance Company (TDC) to jointly organize the Asian World Premiere for the classic, original title “The Sleeping Beauty”. Following a successful performance for ‘Swan Lake’ by Ballet West last year, TDC brings ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ by the world-renowned St Petersburg Theatre Russian Ballet with a full team of 33 Russian ballet dancers to showcase their talent in executing the technically challenging choreography. This will be St Petersburg Theatre Russian Ballet first ever performance in Malaysia and it will also be the first The Sleeping Beauty performance in Asia.
The exchange of agreement was witnessed by YTM Tunku Mu’Tamir, Royalty of Negeri Sembilan Royal Household, YBhg Datin Paulene Tunku Mu’Tamir, Royalty of Negeri Sembilan Royal Household, Dr Ayrat A.
