Kenya: Pres Ruto directs Consulate be opened in Jeddah to assist Muslims during Hajj pilgrimage

NAIROBI, April 12 (NNN-KBC) — President William Ruto has directed that a Consulate be opened in Jeddah to assist Kenyan Muslims especially during the Hajj pilgrimage.

This even as he urged the Muslim community to continue to promote peace, love and compassion for all, and to pray for the country to eliminate the myriad of challenges facing it.

Speaking Tuesday evening at State House Nairobi when he hosted Muslims for Iftar, Ruto extended warm greetings and wishes to the Muslim community as they enter the last 10 days and blessed nights of the Holy Month of Ramadhan.

“As we begin the last 10 days and blessed nights of the Holy Month of Ramadhan, I extend my warm greetings and wishes to the Muslim community.  Let us continue to promote peace, love and compassion for all during this blessed time. Ramadan Mubarak.” Said the President.

The President promised to ensure appointment of commissioners to the Wakfu commission to enable Muslims to make their contribution to build facilities to support the less fortunate in the society.

While commending the Eastleigh business community for their immense contribution to Nairobi city economy, President Ruto assured them of their security and that of their investments.

President Ruto also promised to complete stalled road projects in North eastern in order to open up the area for investments. — NNN-KBC
