DOHA, Qatar, April 24 (NNN-QNA) – The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) announced that, it signed an agreement worth 20 million U.S. dollars with Guinea, to finance the development projects in its rural area.
The agreement was signed between the Qatari institution and Guinea’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and Ministry of Energy and Hydraulics, according to the QFFD.
The agreement includes road infrastructure rehabilitation projects, construction of bridges and reservoirs, and digging of wells.
The project aims to benefit the rural communities by rehabilitating roads with a total length of 866 km in 17 provinces.
In addition, a total of three bridges of 395 metres have already been constructed under this project, providing better accessibility to local communities.
The projects are part of the QFFD’s interest in long-term development projects, to enhance security and stability and ensure a decent living standard for the current and future generations, the Qatari institution said.
QFFD is a public development institution committed, on behalf of Qatar, to implement external aid projects. It has provided aid to several countries around the world, to achieve international cooperation goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030.– NNN-QNA
