TALUQAN, Afghanistan, Apr 6 (NNN-ANA) – Heavy rains and a flash flood killed one person and injured 10 others in the Bangi district of Afghanistan’s northern Takhar province on Tuesday, the provincial director for information and culture Qari Mohibullah Nikzad said yesterday.
Scores of houses and thousands of acres of farmlands have been damaged or destroyed, due to the floods, the official said.
In the meantime, locals said, rainstorms and flash floods have utterly destroyed and damaged hundreds of houses in neighbouring Chal and Ashkamish districts.– NNN-ANA
