YANGON, Apr 6 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar exported more than 641,318 tonnes of black grams, in over 11 months of the 2022-23 fiscal year, beginning in Apr last year, the country’s Ministry of Commerce said, yesterday.
During that period, the country earned over 525.08 million U.S. dollars from exporting black grams, to countries including India, China and Thailand, the ministry’s figures showed.
Beans and pulses are Myanmar’s second-most cultivated crops after rice, accounting for 33 percent of the country’s total agricultural production, and black gram is the largest exported item among Myanmar’s exported beans and pulses.– NNN-MNA
