Iran’s Top Leader Says U.S. Power Weakening In New World Order

TEHRAN, Apr 5 (NNN-XINHUA) – Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, said yesterday that, the United States, the main enemy of Iran’s Islamic establishment, is weakening, day by day, in the new world order.

He made the remarks in an address to a gathering of senior Iranian officials, including President Ebrahim Raisi, Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Judiciary Chief, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, as well as lawmakers, in Tehran.

The Iranian leader said, based on realities, the U.S. has weakened over the past years, describing the administration of President Joe Biden as “the weakest U.S. government over the past two decades.”

He said, while Washington sought to form a united anti-Iran Arab front, the opposite has taken place today, as Iran’s relations with regional Arab states are expanding, the Iranian leader noted.

Khamenei cited the U.S. failure to end Iran’s nuclear programme through exerting political pressure and reimposing sanctions as another sign of the U.S. declining power.

The U.S. caused the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but it has created a gap between Washington and its European allies. Though Washington sees Latin America as its “backyard,” numerous anti-U.S. governments have come to power in that region, he added.

Other signs also point to the decline of U.S. power, including the U.S. massive budget deficit, which equals its annual income, as well as, the decreasing use of U.S. dollars in trade among countries, he said.– NNN-IRNA
