ISLAMABAD, Mar 22 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan’s sports goods exports surged by over 18 percent in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, starting from Jul, 2022 to Jun, 2023, compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, according to figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) yesterday.
The sports goods exports from the country were recorded at 270.158 million U.S. dollars in Jul-Feb of the ongoing fiscal year, as against the exports of 228.400 million dollars during the same months of the fiscal year 2021-2022, showing growth of 18.28 percent, the PBS figures showed.
However, on a year-on-year basis, the exports decreased by 20.19 percent in Feb, 2023 to 28.352 million dollars, compared to 35.526 million dollars in Feb of the last fiscal year, the PBS said.
Similarly, on a month-on-month basis, the sports goods exports went down by 15.10 percent during Feb, 2023, in contrast to the exports of 33.393 million dollars in Jan, 2023.– NNN-APP
