Senior Army Officer Killed In Clash With Terrorists In NW Pakistan: Military

ISLAMABAD, Mar 22 (NNN-APP) – A senior officer of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, was killed, in a clash with terrorists in the north-western tribal district of South Waziristan, the Pakistan Army, said.

Intense fire was exchanged between the two sides, in the Angoor Adda area of the district, bordering Afghanistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the army, said in a statement, last night.

Seven soldiers were also injured during the fight, the ISPR said, adding that, the death toll might further rise as two of the injured are in critical condition.

Earlier in the day, the ISPR said that, three soldiers and three terrorists were killed during a terrorist attack at a check post in the Dera Ismail Khan district, of the country’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday night.– NNN-APP
