NEW DELHI, April 22 (NNN-BERNAMA) — Five Indian nationals were among the 290 people in killed in the bomb blasts that targeted churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday.
The names of five Indians were mentioned in the tweets by Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and the Indian High Commission in Colombo.
India has closed its visa application centre in Sri Lanka until Tuesday.
Citizens of Britain, China, Denmark, Holland, Portugal, Turkey, and the United States were also in the list of 32 foreign fatalities in the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
Sri Lanka’s State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene said intelligence agencies and security forces are carrying out investigations into the blasts.
