India’s Domestic Passenger Vehicle Sales Saw 11 Percent Growth In Feb

NEW DELHI, Mar 11 (NNN-PTI) – Data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) yesterday said, domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales, grew by 11 percent year-on-year, in Feb, to 291,928 units.

A year ago the sales figure was 262,984 units.

Two-wheeler sales continued to grow at a moderate pace of about eight percent in Feb, to 1,129,661 units.

Three-wheeler sales were 50,382 units in Feb, 2023, the data further showed.

The apex body, representing all major vehicle and vehicular engine manufacturers said, the total production of passenger vehicles – three-wheelers, two wheelers and quadricycles in Feb was 1,754,922 units.

It further said, the total production of passenger vehicles from Apr, 2022 to Feb, 2023, was 22,750,797 units.– NNN-PTI
