YANGON, Mar 9 (NNN-MNA) – A total of 161,851 students, yesterday, sat for the nationwide matriculation examination of Myanmar, for the academic year of 2022-23, according to the country’s Ministry of Education.
“It is 90 percent of the students who had registered for the nationwide matric exam,” Thin Nu Nu Sein, an official from the Ministry of Education, said.
The figure is compared to 281,751 students sitting for the same exam of last academic year of 2021-22, official data showed.
The nationwide matriculation exam for this academic year, which began yesterday, will be held until Mar 18. There is a total of 863 exam centres, including five overseas exam centres, set up for the matric exam of this academic year, according to the ministry.– NNN-MNA
