HANOI, Mar 6 (NNN-VNA) – Police of southern Vietnam’s An Giang province, arrested two local men, for trafficking 18.6 kg of drugs from Cambodia, local media reported.
The two men, aged 27 and 32, were caught red-handed transporting the drugs, in An Giang province on Friday night.
The authorities are further investigating the case, said the report.
According to Vietnamese law, those convicted of smuggling over 600 grammes of heroin or more than 2.5 kg of methamphetamine, could face the death penalty.– NNN-VNA
