Kenya: Two seriously injured as light aircraft crashes in Baringo

NAIROBI, Feb 27 (NNN-KBC) — A light aircraft has crashed in Baringo.

Reports indicate that two passengers on board sustained serious injuries after the plane crashed while attempting to land at Kampi ya Samaki airstrip on the shores of Lake Baringo.

Assistant County Commissioner Charles Gumba said the two were rushed to Marigat sub-county hospital for treatment.

The aircraft 5Y-PEC which was from Narok landed on a perimeter wall near Sandai Resort. 

The cause of the accident is not yet known. Investigators have been deployed to the scene. — NNN-KBC
