NEW DELHI, Feb 25 (NNN-PTI) – At least seven people died and nine were injured, when a building collapsed, in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh, yesterday, local police said.
The incident occurred in the Daurala area of Uttar Pradesh, nearly 75 miles (120 km) away from New Delhi.
All the dead were blue-collar workers, a police officer said, adding that, nine people were injured and were admitted to a local government hospital.
“There was a blast inside a cold storage, due to an ammonia gas leak. As a result of the blast, the building collapsed. Several people were trapped under the rubble. Seven dead bodies have been recovered,” the police officer added.– NNN-PTI
