BUSAN, Feb 24 (NNN-YONHAP) – South Korea’s south-eastern port city of Busan is staging Asia’s largest drone exhibition, to show off the latest technology of the industry, the city government said.
The Drone Show Korea 2023, the seventh of its kind, is scheduled to last for three days till tomorrow, at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre (BEXCO).
For what the city said is Asia’s largest drone exhibition, 625 booths from 172 companies were arranged at the exhibit hall of 17,600 square metres in area.
Under the theme of “Everything about drone, Our future to face with drone,” the exhibition focuses on scalability of the drone industry, while introducing inter-industry convergence cases and various drone models.
It brings together leading companies from various technology sectors, including telecommunications, geospatial navigation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and robotics.
Foreign companies, which had difficulty in joining the exhibition, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, participated in this year’s event. They included Shenzhen Grepow Battery, Shenzhen Vigorpower Battery and DJI from China, Liberaware and Amuse Oneself from Japan and Flyability SA from Switzerland.
The event is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of National Defence.– NNN-YONHAP
