Palestine To Request Security Council Session On Israeli Killing Of 10 Palestinians In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Feb 23 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine will request a UN Security Council emergency session, on the killing of ten Palestinians yesterday, by Israeli soldiers, in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, the official Palestinian news agency quoted a Palestinian report as saying.

The report said, Palestine would request international protection for the Palestinian people, in the Palestinian territories and condemn “the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces.”

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority requested an emergency meeting of the Arab League, at the level of delegates, Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad Al-Maliki, said in a press statement.

He also said, the Palestinian Authority requested an emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, adding that, “the meetings aim at getting massive and individual condemnation of what the Israeli soldiers did in Nablus.”

Yesterday, ten Palestinians were killed and 102 were injured, including six in critical condition, by Israeli soldiers, during an Israeli military operation in Nablus that lasted four hours.

The International Committee of the Red Cross expressed its “grave concern” about the events that took place in Nablus yesterday.– NNN-WAFA
