MANAGUA, Feb 19 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — The Government of Nicaragua will assume the rise in fuel prices in its totality, despite the increase in international cost of oil, reported the Nicaraguan Energy Institute.
According to a statement made jointly with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Energy and Mines for next week, the required adjustments will not be applied, while local gasoline and diesel prices will remain unchanged.
Regarding liquefied gas, the fuel mainly used for preparing food, the Executive assured that there will be no change in its price for the 10, 25 and 100 pound presentations.
The document highlights that the measure, which has been in force for almost a year, supports families and economic activities in the country such as production and collective transportation.
The statement refers to the permanent monitoring of crude oil prices worldwide by the Government of President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
