Pakistani Central Bank’s Forex Reserves Rose By 276 Million USD

ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (NNN-APP) – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), said that, its foreign exchange reserves have increased by 276 million U.S. dollars.

During the week ending, Feb 10, the total foreign exchange reserves of the SBP rose to around 3.19 billion dollars, the SBP said in a statement, last night.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came at 5.5 billion dollars, it added.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at about 8.7 billion dollars, according to the central bank.

This slight increase in the central bank’s foreign reserves is a positive development for Pakistan, which has been struggling with its reserves, which went down to 2.91 billion dollars, last week.– NNN-APP
