MEXICO CITY, Feb 14 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — Senator Ivan Cepeda, who is a member of the Colombian Government Delegation in the talks with the ELN guerrilla, stated that the second round of talks began with the best disposition of the leaders from both parties.
He explained that at the center of the talks are the participation of society, of territorial communities, the construction of peace, the definitive formulation of the agenda to be carried out in these dialogues.
The senator, who is the president of the Peace Commission of the Colombian Congress, added that, at the same time, they will seek a solution to a complex problem: the bilateral ceasefire.
“It will be a difficult process, it will not be easy, but work is beginning with the best disposition”, the Colombian lawmaker emphasized.
The second round of talks between the government of Gustavo Petro and the ENL began Monday on the premises of the Inter-American Conference on Social Security, in Mexico City, with the presence of the guarantor countries and observers. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
