TASHKENT, Jan 31 (NNN-UzA) – Rescue teams recovered five bodies, after a gas explosion in a four-story building, in north-western Uzbekistan, the emergency ministry said, yesterday.
The rescuers found a five-year-old girl alive, under the ruins in Nukus city, the capital of the Karakalpakstan Republic. The girl and two more people with injuries, were taken to hospital, according to the ministry.
The deadly incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, on the fourth floor of the building, it said.
The prosecutor’s office said, it has launched a criminal investigation.– NNN-UzA
