ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan yesterday, strongly condemned Israel’s attack on the occupied northern West Bank, according to the country’s Foreign Ministry.
The Israeli armed forces stormed the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank on Thursday, and killed nine Palestinians, including an elderly woman, and wounded 16, four of them in serious condition.
“The government and the people of Pakistan extend sincere and heartfelt condolences to the families of victims, and best wishes for full and swift recovery of the injured, in this brutal attack,” according to a statement from the ministry.
Pakistan called upon the international community to assume its responsibility in bringing these actions by the Israeli forces to a halt, and ensuring adequate protection of the human rights of the Palestinian people, said the statement.
Pakistan also reiterated its strong and unwavering support for the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people, for the full realisation of their fundamental rights.– NNN-APP
