MOGADISHU, Jan 25 (NNN-KBC) — The East African Community (EAC) has officially launched a verification mission to assess the Federal Republic of Somalia’s readiness to join the regional bloc.
Senior officials from all EAC Partner States commenced the process Wednesday in Mogadishu.
“Today we launch official verification mission towards admission of Somali into the East African Community. One people one destiny,” said EAC’s Secretary General Peter Mathuki
The East African Community (EAC) comprises of seven Partner States including Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. — NNN-KBC
