RAMALLAH, Jan 15 (NNN-WAFA) – Two more Palestinians were killed yesterday, during clashes with Israeli soldiers, at a village south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the Palestinian Health Ministry said, in a press statement.
Izedin Hamamreh, 24, and Amjad Khleileyeh, 23, were killed during clashes with the Israeli soldiers at the entrance to the village of Jaba’a, according to the statement.
The statement didn’t give more details about the incident. However, Palestinian security sources said, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a vehicle and killed the two young men in the car.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesman said in a statement that, Palestinian suspects reportedly opened fire from a car, at Israeli soldiers, adding that, the soldiers shot back and killed the two militants in the car.
The Israeli soldiers had found M16 machine guns that the two militants had taken with them, the spokesman said, adding that, no injuries were reported among the Isreali soldiers.
Also yesterday, medical sources said that, 19-year-old Palestinian, Yazan Al-Ja’bari, succumbed to wounds he sustained from Israeli soldiers live bullet fire, several days ago, in the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin.
Since Jan 1, the Israeli soldiers have killed 12 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, Palestinian officials have warned against the ongoing escalation in the West Bank.– NNN-WAFA
