NAIROBI, Jan 12 (NNN-KBC) — Kenyan President William Ruto has said that his administration will tackle banditry and cattle rustling more seriously and restore order in areas affected by the menace.
“I want to say without equivocation that this is the administration that will get rid of the menace that has been a challenge for many years,” said the President.
Speaking in Embakasi during the Administration Police Pass-Out parade Wednesday, the Head of State instructed the Ministry of Interior to support security agencies to deal with firmly and decisively to eradicate banditry.
“Time has come for us to decisively engage so as to eradicate banditry and cattle rustling within our borders,” said Ruto.
“I am confident that our police officers have what it takes to eradicate this critical assignment,” he added.
In his speech, Ruto said that the Government was also determined to deliver security to all parts of the country without sacrificing the fundamental rights and freedoms of Kenyans. — NNN-KBC
